Christians must have a strong foundation for what they believe in, what the Bible teaches in the book of Genesis is historical fact. If Christians see Genesis as mere stories and fables, why would they believe what is written in the Gospel?
The Earth is about 6000 years old. Death came after Adam and Eve sinned. The unproven theory of evolution cannot coexist with what the Bible teaches of our true origin (God created Adam & Eve). Evolution, on the other hand, teaches that “millions of years” of death led to organisms evolving to ultimately become many different species. Since death started after and because of Adam’s sin against God, it’s impossible to believe that evolution (millions of years of death) led to the first human being coming into existence.
